The Domaine de la Villaudiere lies to the north of Sancerre. Dominated by clay-limestone soil, topped with gravel and flinty pebbles. The cellar is very modern and is located on a hillside. A blend of the three soils of the estate - 80% Clay and Chalk from the villages of Verdigny and Thovenet brings body and structure - 20% from Chavignol adds an high flint content and minerality. A concentrated flavor, crisp and stylish with a pungent bouquet reminiscent of gooseberries. Ideal with starters, fish, shellfish and the famous "Crottin de Chavignol".

Tasting Notes

Pale yellow hue. The nose is reminiscent of white flowers and citrus. On the palate it is round and fresh. The wine has good balance with a long and harmonious finish.
