This is the newest series in our line-up of whiskies and joins our flagship Port Finished Virginia Highland Malt Whisky. With each release of the Commonwealth Collection, we’ll work with a local Virginia partner such as a winery, cidery or even a brewery, to showcase different styles of finishes. Our first release features Virginia Highland Malt cask-finished in Potter’s Craft Ciderbarrels. Notes of vanilla, apple and pear are evident on the nose, as well a slight hint of caramel. On the palate, some creaminess and sweetness from the malt, along with caramelized wood sugars from the oak, melds with a pleasant touch of acidity from the cider barrel.  Enjoy neat, with a cube or a splash.
